WHAT IS YARD BAR DETROIT?

Yard Bar is a custom camper-turned-upscale full-service mobile bar. We bring a unique beverage service to any gathering. 

WHY SHOULD WE HIRE/BOOK Yard Bar?

A good bar with a high-level cocktail and drink service is the gathering point at any event. Our team is dedicated to the important element of hospitality. Our mobile bar includes a mural photo wall and a framed custom cocktail menu. We are here to make your event unique and memorable.

HOW FAR DO YOU TRAVEL?

We include 30 miles of round-trip travel from 48009 (Birmingham, MI) in the rental. Events outside of our home base will be an additional charge of $2/mile there and back. We can customize a quote depending on your location.

WILL YARD BAR FIT IN OUR VENUE?

Yard Bar measures 13 feet long, 7 feet wide and 7.5 feet tall, with a serving window extending another 30 inches. We will need enough clearance to drive up with the tow vehicle and pull away once disconnected. For help determining if The Yard Bar will fit in your event space, reach out to us. 

WHAT DOES THE YARD BAR REQUIRE FOR SETUP?

Our bars (mobile and secondary) require flat ground for setup, service, and one standard outlet.  

WHAT KIND OF EVENTS CAN HAVE A MOBILE BAR?

We would love to be a part of any event where bar service is needed. Weddings, Wine Tasting,  Birthdays, Brunches, Rehearsal Dinners, Graduations, Corporate Events, Showers, Holiday Parties, Product Launches, Store Openings, Retirement Parties, Backyard Gatherings, Family Reunions, and beyond.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO RENT THE YARD BAR?

Every event is unique. Our pricing starts at $1,100 for the rental of The Yard Bar. Rental includes:

  • One Bartender- TIPS Certified

  • Up to 4 hours of bartending

  • Set Up/Tear Down- We typically arrive up tp 2 hours prior to your event start time

  • Liquor Liability and General Liability Insurance

  • Use of Beer Jockey- up to half barrel

  • Self Service Water Station

  • Eucalyptus Garland under bar counter

  • Custom Framed Drink Menu

  • Custom Shopping List

  • 30 miles of travel from 48009 ($2/mile overage)

Optional add-ons include additional bar service, hour(s) the deluxe or al la carte lounge area, customized compostable glassware and napkins may be added. We provide upfront pricing and customize each package to meet your event needs. We would be happy to hear about your event and can customize a quote to meet your specific needs.

DO YOU HAVE A LIQUOR LICENSE?

The state of Michigan does not allow a liquor license without a brick and mortar location, which means unfortunately, we can not provide the alcohol. We will however work very closely with you to create your perfect drink menu and estimate how much beer, wine, and alcohol you will need. We can call the approved order into our preferred vendor, and get you your liquor at retail price, with no additional markup, however the host of the party will have to make this purchase separately from Yard Bar.

DO YOU CARRY INSURANCE?

Yes, we carry Liquor Liability and General Liability Insurance.

DOES MY PACKAGE INCLUDE ALCOHOL?

No. Based on our conversation regarding your event, we’ll estimate how much beer, wine and/or alcohol you will need. YOU buy the alcohol, but we do all the work. We’ll prepare a shopping list for you to look over that will include the suggested brands to buy and quantity. You keep any unused alcohol from your event.

CAN I DO A CASH BAR?

Unfortunately, due to MI state liquor laws and regulations, we cannot accommodate cash bars. Without a liquor license, we are unable to collect money in exchange for alcoholic beverages.

WHAT ABOUT MIXERS?

We buy and bring all mixers, syrups, fruit, and basic drink ware for your event.

CAN YOU SERVICE A NON-ALCOHOLIC EVENT?

Absolutely! We are happy to provide services for any type of event and provide non-alcoholic beverages ranging from sodas, coffee, mocktails for an additional charge.

HOW EARLY DO I NEED TO BOOK?

We suggest reserving your date as soon as possible. Even if your event is coming up soon, still reach out – we can always let you know if your date is available. We do require a signed contract and a non-refundable 50% deposit to book your reservation, with the remaining balance due 30 days before your event date.

DO YOU PROVIDE BARTENDERS? 

Yes. We provide friendly, TIPS-certified bartenders

IS A SOMMELIER AVAILABLE FOR WINE TASTING EVENTS?

Yes, we are able to provide a certified sommelier for your event. A sommelier will enhance your event as they carefully prepare a wine list to compliment your menu.

WHAT ABOUT GRATUITY?

Yard Bar requires a $250 gratuity per bartender. If the tip jar does not reach $250 per bartender then the event host will cover the difference by cash or credit. If you do not want a tip jar at your event, the host can pay the entire $250 upfront.

DO YOU PROVIDE ANY FLORALS?

Faux eucalyptus Garland is included in the Yard Bar rental. Additional plants such as fresh flowers or ferns with stands can be added for an additional charge (based on seasonal availability)

WHAT OTHER ADD ONS DOES YARD BAR DETROIT OFFER?

We have lounge area furniture including a sofa, chairs, vintage rugs and sofa table, high top cocktail tables, corn hole game, plant stands, musician stools with vintage rug, and coming soon greenery photo wall with bench. Check out the Add Ons tab for more information.
